Here he gives lists of some great rescources that can be beneficial to pastors and any concerned Christian. Lay leaders, encourage your pastors to be engaged in the culture as they exegete texts from an ancient culture by offering gift subscriptions to magazines, scanning blogs for information that might be helpful, and emailing current events.

Pastors who are going to speak into this culture using texts from the biblical culture must be able to bridge the two, and a wide knowledge of current events makes that possible.
